Welcome to St Mary’s Church of England Primary School
We are a popular school situated in Stoke Newington, Hackney and have been serving the community and providing high quality education for over 450 years. We have 1 of each class from Nursery to Year 6 and believe that being a smaller school creates the ethos that we are proud of: friendly, welcoming and caring.
We invite families from all faiths and those with none to join our school community. Our spiritual values of love, kindness, courage, truth and hope are things that we can all identify with regardless of our faith or backgrounds.
Our vision and values are at the centre of all we do and whether you are of a Christian faith or not, wanting children to realise their purpose in life, feel a sense of belonging and feeding not only their mind but their body and spirit too, are things that we all seek. Seeing children as individuals and taking this holistic approach, ensures that they leave St Mary’s well equipped for the next stage of their learning journey and beyond, to become effective global citizens.
We are committed to working in partnership with families, and the school’s community, including the Parish of St Mary’s to make every child’s time with us a positive one. Through a joint commitment, we can grow and live out our mission statement ‘….feeding the mind, body and spirit so we can be the best we can be.’
